Mina F
This page was created as part of the Cloud Resume Challenge, if
you would like to read about how I built this project there is a
dedicated post on the blog section of this website.
Instead of replicating my resume on this page as per the
challenge guidance, I decided on an alternative format to
provide more information regarding my professional experience
which spans industries including Banking, Education, and Sales.
Professional Experience:
Lloyds Banking Group (Business Support)
:
Brought in to support an insurance remediation project. I
employed analytical techniques, followed FCA guidance, and
leveraged strong organisation skills to reach appropriate
remediation decisions in a timely manner. While there was an
element of customer interaction in this role, as a natural
people person I decided to move into a role with a stronger
focus on customer relationships.
Bairstow Eves Country Wide (Sales negotiator)
:
Initially hired as a sales negotiator before being promoted to
handle valuations and manage transactions. I demonstrated
excellent property market acumen, strong client management, and
expert negotiation skills to complete over £10M worth of
property transactions.
Country Wide Group rebranded the branch which involved store
closure due to refurbishment, this presented an opportunity to
move forward with other employment opportunities.
VTS Further Education College (Business Support / IT Trainer)
: First hired in a business support function within the IT
department before being trained to deliver engaging and
effective IT training sessions. This role developed my ability
to explain technical concepts and my proficiency in doing so was
recognised as I was awarded the equivalent of an “Outstanding”
grade by Ofsted. I also streamlined processes by establishing a
cloud-based coursework distribution platform and maintained the
student computer lab providing technical support to both
students and other departments.
I thoroughly enjoyed this role and felt particularly fortunate
that I was given the opportunity to teach and mentor younger
students. The stakeholders of the company routinely expressed
their desire to onboard more students and this led to me
founding a small niche recruitment business.
Choosing Prospects (Business Development / Director):
I founded Choosing Prospects with a focus on further education
recruitment. Through fostering partnerships with local
authorities and implementing effective recruitment strategies I
generated over £1M in revenue for a training provider within 6
months. I configured and deployed a CRM with APIs to add SMS
functionality and automated reminders to bolster information
session attendance. Utilising this system, I created a
Kanban-style workflow to streamline onboarding processes leading
to a 200% increase in student enrolment.
Founding and operating this business honed my
self-determination, adaptability, problem-solving, and client
management skills through which I was able to gradually grow the
business. The landscape changed due to a combination of
regulatory changes and COVID-19-related closures and I decided
to cease operations.
HSBC (Commercial Banking Support)
:
Contracted as part of the Commercial Banking team, I acted as a
point of contact for all queries regarding business account
openings and government relief packages. Advised clients on
eligibility, process, and audited applications to ensure
compliance with KYC-related requirements. I also provided
technical support to users of online and telephone banking
services troubleshooting issues regarding access,
authentication, and transactions.
My time at HSBC further developed my ability to provide
effective support whilst maintaining compliance in a regulated
environment, solving both technical and non-technical issues,
and effectively managing client communications.
Peoples Place Community Partnership (IT Support)
:
is an MSP and IT training company focused on IT support
training. I volunteered to assist with the cloud migration for
The Light House Community Centre, a community hub based in North
London. My contribution includes backing up data from the IT
Suite and Fileserver using Robocopy, Network Drives, and
RDP. I also utilised a specialised PowerShell script to grab
Windows Keys and automatically save these to specified folders.
Exposure to the use of Microsoft Azure to manage the
provisioning of the IT suite and Microsoft Intune to manage
devices.
While the Light House Community Centre only had around 20
devices, this project introduced me to some of the activities
involved with cloud migration including data migration and
account provisioning.
